So, turns out - this dessert is called "Magic Bars" (or other times referred to as "7 Layer Bars") - which makes sense - as I swear I can almost taste the faery dust feathered throughout this decadent treat.
What binds the many layers of ecstatic goodness together is condensed milk. As this is obviously not very vegan :D - i scoured the internet and found a vegan recipe for the same and one I try it (see link below) - I'll be sure to post my results!
